In the seventies the frame welds were all covered with bondo and sculpted to make the frames look smooth. My design centered around a 1949 Harley Panhead, original hard tail frame, transmission primary and drive. It was a "basket case" that comprised of three boxes of assorted parts. The rake was a 3/4 inch cut in the neck which amounted to about ~35 degrees with an eight inch front end extension. I now like the artistry in the new chopper builds that display the excellent welding and the "raw" optical designs within "theme" building. However, Building my bike was one of the most rewarding things that I have done.
