Oldschool Chopper

Hi there. I bought an old 1988 softail, rode about 200 kms and then totaly stripped it and began to rebuild it to what I wanted {oldschool}.

I Started by cutting off the coil mount and other tags that wern't needed including the rear struts, stripped the motor and gearbox down, checked and fitted new gaskets throughout, and cleaned and painted wrinkle flat black,

Then I Fitted new 1 1/4" 18" high ape hangers with the throttle cable and braided front brake line and wiring internally. Makes a nice clean look. I modified head steady to take coil, ignition and remote start button, and made new a footpeg mount for a custom stand and mastercylinder for the hydraulic foot clutch, and made a suicide gearstick.

I Fitted a 150 whitewall rear tyre to the original rim and chain drive.

Well thats about as far as I've got so far. Cheers Philfy.

Hi there, the tank was off a 96 sporty, had to relocate fuel tap right to the back of the tank because of the angle and modify the mounts to suit.
