Bobbed CM400

CM400

Saw a show, got an itch, bought a cm400 because I hadn't ridden in years. Bobbed it, painted it, rode it. Runs great, starts easy, miles of smiles.

Changing her look
by: Anonymous

The photo was a post after all my mockup work. I rode her for a season, and worked out the kinks. Now I'm doing a full tear down, polishing, painting, etc. I'll post the New and Improved bike when I'm done. I bought a sporster, so my CM has become my test mule for ideas I have.

Happy riding.

Great looking little bike!
by: rider75 in Canada

I've got an '83 CM250 on the work stand right now, bobbing it for my daughter. Just getting rid of the stock seat, sidecovers and lights and bolting on a pair of mini ape bars and it looks cool already. I plan on removing the stock mufflers and clamping on a pair of JC Whitney (cheap) fishtail pipes.\ After I cut the rear fender down, I found a 5" steel flat fender in the junk so now I gotta get a couple pieces of 1/4" X 1" flatbar and bend some brackets for it. Also been savin a Dominion (Made in Canada) cats eye tail light that'll look great with chrome repro antique bullet style signal lights (ebay, cheap). The solo seat and the pillion pad are from scrapped excersize equipment. And I just located a good used belt ('83 was the only year with belt final drive) for $40.00. They are +/- $200.00 new! When we get it more together, I'll post a pic of it. Anyone got a good 5 1/2" bottom mount H4 headlight for cheap?
