Here is the same bike I put in here about a year ago but with a lot of changes. It's getting closer to what I want. A rear finder, seat's, tank's, paint, it went to a 150 wheel. I will keep an update on it. JW V-President Apostles' Creed MM

Thoughts on Old School vs Custom

Great classic "old school look" similar to the bike Peter Fonda used in the movie "Wild Angles" back in the 1970's, except with a stock springer. As with any road bike, you can't beat those fat-bob tanks for a practical amount of gas mileage.

Originally, the whole idea behind building a chopper, was creating beauty through function- to improve handling, comfort and speed and build a better road bike. Now many builders have pushed the envelope to the point of where they've sacrificed much of those practical old school modifications in favor of looks in their hurry to be MORE original than the next guy. That's too bad, because that wasn't what it was all about to begin with. Doug the Mug
